Sample Itinerary: All about Israel

Day 1 – International Travel

Day 2 – Welcome to Land of the Bible
Welcome to Israel! Meet your tour guide and start your tour. Drive along the Mediterranean coastline to see the ancient harbor city of Caesarea Maritima. Travel to Mount Carmel, probably the best view of the area of Elijah’s battle with the prophets of Baal. Explore the hilltop ‘chariot city’ of Megiddo, possibly the site of the final battle of Armageddon. Check into hotel in Tiberias. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3 – Around the Sea of Galilee
Start your day with a short hike across the famous “Jesus Trail” on top of the Arbel Cliffs and continue on to the Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum and Magdala for an in depth visit of Jesus’ footsteps throughout His Galilean ministry. Take an afternoon boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 4 – Upper Galilee & Golan
Traveling north, you will visit the Banias Springs, the site of Caesarea Philippi where the Lord asked the famous question, “who do you say that I am?” Step into Nazareth Biblical Village to see how life was experienced by Nazarenes 2,000 years ago. Drive by Cana where Jesus performed the first miracle of turning water into wine at a wedding feast. Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.

Day 5 – Jordan River Valley and Jerusalem
Drive along the Jordan River Valley and stop at Beit ‘Abara where John the Baptist spent much time baptizing here. Travel to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus and hometown of David. Transfer to hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 6 – Jerusalem the City of Gold
Start your day ascending the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city that Jesus wept over, pray at the Garden of Gethsemane, see the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the paralytic and follow the Via Dolorosa, and share Holy Communion at the Garden Tomb. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7 – Jerusalem, New & Old
Visit the Temple Mount, walk on the Southern Steps and pray at the Western Wall. Explore the biblical archaeological site of the City of David and walk through the underground Hezekiah Tunnel. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8 – Masada and the Dead Sea
See Masada, a rugged natural fortress in the Judean Desert overlooking the Dead Sea. View the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Continue to the Dead Sea and try floating at the lowest point on Earth. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 9 – Tel Aviv and Jaffa
Proceed to ancient Jaffa with its fascinating art galleries and open markets. See modern Tel Aviv City and visit the historic Independence Hall where the State of Israel was born in 1948. Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 10 – Flight home
Transfer to Tel Aviv International Airport for your flight home

Cross the bridge over the Marmara Sea that connects the Black Sea to the Aegean Sea. Continue to Thyateira, known as the “false” church that followed a seductive prophetess. Dinner and overnight in Sardis.

Day 4 – Sardis, Philadelphia, Laodicea and Pamukkale

Day 11 – Corinth
See the Corinth Canal and visit the ancient Corinth where Paul lived and preached for one and a half years. Spend some time shopping at the Plaka area. Transfer to Athens Airport for flight home.
